Summer

The Sloan School Summer Program

The Sloan School is open year round. In addition to our excellent school year programs, we offer a summer program that we believe is second to none! Our preschool and Kindergarten classes implement Pinnacle curriculum during the summer months. Pinnacle is a fun, theme based curriculum, which is less academic than the Abeka curriculum that we use during the school year, while still being an enriching learning experience. Each month has an overarching theme that includes lessons, crafts and activities that teach the students all about that theme. It is a fun way to spend a summer!

Our Kindergarten students also go on two field trips each week, starting in July. We aim for maximum fun and optimum value with our summer field trips, so students visit locations such as Skatetown, Chuck E. Cheese, the Children's Aquarium, and much more!

Our 1st-5th grade students (up to age 12) go on 4 field trips per week. Students spend their mornings with a fun summer program that we have developed in house and continue to improve each year. Whatever your child's interest, he or she is going to love this summer at Sloan. But students who want to spend their summer sleeping a little later still need to come have fun with us in the afternoons! Our field trips are epic! From rock climbing to ballpark tours, from swimming to skating, and how about a scavenger hunt at The Perot Museum? We’ve done it all!

At The Sloan School, we know that our families want their children to experience a variety of extra curricular activities. We also know that time is limited. So we have done our research, and brought some of the leading area camps, right here to our school! Students who have completed kindergarten thru fifth grade will have the option to attend a variety of fun, week-long, summer camps each year. Soggy Zoggy Swim Lessons are available for children ages 4 and up, and the entire school will get to experience Vacation Bible School one week in July!

We hope that your child will be here to enjoy summer with us.
