The Sloan School Parents
❝The best decision I’ve made is pulling my son from a charter
school and taking him to Sloan. He and I both agree with the school’s slogan, “There’s
No Place Like Sloan”! The A Beka curriculum is taught by some of the most AMAZING
teachers. Parents are very informed by their child’s teacher regarding performance. It
is a great feeling when I drop him off every morning knowing that he is going to be
mentored, loved, prayed with and prayed for by the best teachers and staff. The
students are not seen as “just a student” and the parents are not seen as “just a
parent”, we are The Sloan School Family!❞

of leaving my children with strangers. No work salary was worth it. Then I became a
single daddy. I remember the day I walked into Sloan. Sam was 18 months old. I cried
like a baby up at the front. Walking out was the hardest thing I had ever done. Now,
leaving is just as hard. I didn't know it on that first day, but I soon learned that I
had left my child in Jesus' arms. The presence of Jesus is pervasive throughout the
Sloan School and He walks the halls smiling at kids and teachers alike. I believe this
with all of my heart. This truth is a direct reflection of both of you (Darin and
Christy) and the teachers you embrace. I didn't deserve you, just as I feel humble

memories from The Sloan School, ranging from field trips to singing on stage during
Chapel. I love that I attended your school instead of a public elementary school - you
prepared me so well for the harder middle school classes. This year, I graduated from
high school "distinguished", which only about thirty students out of 400+ do each
